Preparation of conditions of ECVET implementation in the Czech Republic

The process of ECVET implementation is especially focused on activities which would considerably contribute to providing schools and other educational institutions – namely those offering FE and LLL – with access to up-to-date information relevant in this context, for enabling them to get involved in preparing the mechanisms and settings necessary for the implementation of this tool. The National Institute of the Technical and Vocational Education (NÚOV) is in charge of putting all the proposed activities into effect.

The activities are following:

Ensure that both the Czech VET schools and employers are aware of ECVET possibilities

Ensure an information support for Czech schools and other institutions involved in preparing and implementing international projects of mobilities of learners

Use involvement into the European structures to provide all interested bodies and/or persons on the Czech side with information support

Use the international projects (LLP) as „development laboratories“

In co-operation with relevant Sections of the Ministry of Education, Youth and Sports (MŠMT) from within its Division II (for General education, VET and Further education) create an expert group for solving conception issues and possible problems related to the ECVET implementation in the Czech Republic

Ensure the information support for career guidance providers within the sectors of education, employment and non-profit sector as well as information support for teachers putting in practice the curricular item "Introduction to the world of work", as a part of education and training programmes

Elaborate an analytical study focusing on possibilities of using ECVET at the national level

All the proposed activities can be ensured in necessary extent in 2011. NÚOV plans their realisation within its project Creating conditions for implementation of the European tool ECVET in the Czech Republic, which will be part of the proposed NÚOV work programme in 2011.
